Position Overview: We are currently seeking a courteous and professional Hotel Doorman to join our esteemed team at Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay. As the first point of contact for guests, the Hotel Doorman plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests as they arrive at the hotel entrance, offering a warm welcome and assistance with luggage.
  • Open doors for guests entering and exiting the hotel, ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience.
  • Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Hail taxis or arrange transportation for guests as requested, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage from vehicles, offering assistance as needed.
  • Maintain a neat and tidy appearance at all times, wearing the hotel uniform and adhering to grooming standards.
  • Monitor the hotel entrance and lobby area, ensuring security and safety protocols are followed.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally, providing accurate information and assistance.
  • Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and efficient guest service.
  • Keep the hotel entrance area clean and organized, including sweeping sidewalks and clearing debris.
  • Assist with valet parking services during peak periods or as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy luggage as needed
  • Professional appearance and grooming, with a neat and tidy appearance
  • Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants and transportation options is a plus
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
